Role Overview

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Directional Drillers to support offshore drilling operations across Europe. This role requires technical expertise in well trajectory planning, execution, and optimization in complex offshore environments. Candidates must demonstrate strong operational leadership, precision, and the ability to perform under demanding rotational schedules.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and monitor directional drilling operations in line with well objectives
  • Interpret and utilize MWD/LWD data to ensure accurate well placement
  • Optimize drilling performance while maintaining safety and operational efficiency
  • Provide real-time recommendations to the drilling team and client representatives
  • Ensure adherence to well plans, anti-collision guidelines, and industry standards
  • Troubleshoot downhole issues and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain detailed daily reports and technical documentation
  • Collaborate closely with geologists, drilling engineers, and offshore crews
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE policies and offshore safety regulations

Required Qualifications & Experience

Extensive experience as a Directional Driller in offshore environments (North Sea experience preferred)

Proven track record in complex wells (ERD, HPHT, or deepwater operations is a plus)

Strong knowledge of directional drilling software and survey management systems

Expertise in MWD/LWD tools and interpretation

Valid offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET/FOET, Medical, Well Control)

Ability to work rotational schedules and adapt to offshore conditions

Fluent in English (additional European languages are an advantage)
