Oilfield Services Directional Drilling Consultant
Our global client is currently seeking experienced Directional Drilling Consultants and Drilling Engineers for ongoing work in Congo.
Responsibilities of the Directional Drilling Consultant:
- Plan and execute directional drilling operations in accordance with the drilling program and well design, with a particular focus on rig operations.
- Monitor and adjust drilling parameters to optimise performance and achieve well objectives.
- Provide real-time updates and solutions to the Drilling Supervisor and rig team to address any issues encountered during operations.
- Manage and operate down hole tools, including rotary steerable systems (RSS), mud motors, MWD/LWD tools, and other directional drilling equipment.
- Collaborate closely with rig personnel to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any rig-related issues that may arise during directional drilling activities.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in directional drilling, with significant rig experience in onshore and offshore environments.
- Valid medical and offshore certification or willing to obtain if not for offshore operations.
- Proven experience working with various downhole tools and directional drilling technologies.
- Must be able to work in Congo, residence preferable.
- Previous experience working in Congo or similar environments is highly desirable.
