HV Engineer
Our clients European team is growing and are seeking an HV Engineer for work in Germany.
This role is for someone to progress into Substations and Plant design role to provide support to projects across our clients’ markets.
Responsibilities of the HV Engineer:
- Work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industry in the technology and process sectors.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in HV systems, using diagnostic tool and data analysis to recommend effective solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications, schematics, and layouts for HV installations.
- Carry out risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for all work.
- Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and advancements in HV technology.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution or working towards chartered status.
- Experience within an electrical discipline and experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects.
- Relevant, professional experience in HV and LV experience and knowledge of 33kV.
- Experience preparing design calculations, reports, and detailed drawings.
- CAD (AutoCAD or MicroStation) preferred but not essential.
