Job Title: Liquid Mud Plant (LMP) Operator
Location: Namibia (Onshore – Liquid Mud Plant / Drilling Fluids Base)
Duration: Approximately 12 months
Start Date: June / July 2026
Job Purpose
The Liquid Mud Plant (LMP) Operator is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the liquid mud plant, ensuring the accurate mixing, storage, and transfer of drilling fluids to support offshore drilling operations.
The role ensures drilling fluids are prepared according to program specifications, maintained within quality standards, and delivered safely and efficiently to offshore installations.


Key Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain Liquid Mud Plant systems, including mixing, transfer, and storage equipment.
• Prepare and mix drilling fluids and brine in accordance with the drilling program and mud engineer specifications.
• Monitor mud properties, volumes, and inventory levels to ensure availability for drilling operations.
• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of plant equipment including pumps, tanks, agitators, and mixing systems.
• Manage bulk handling of base fluids, chemicals, and additives.
• Assist in loading and transferring drilling fluids to supply vessels for offshore delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and operational logs.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and risk assessments.
• Support plant housekeeping and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with Drilling Fluids Engineers, Logistics Teams, and Offshore Operations.
Required Experience
• Minimum 2–5 years experience working in a liquid mud plant, drilling fluids facility, or oilfield base.
• Experience handling water-based mud (WBM), oil-based mud (OBM), or synthetic-based mud (SBM) systems.
• Familiarity with bulk fluid handling systems and mud mixing equipment.
• Experience supporting offshore drilling operations preferred.
