Job Title: Liquid Mud Plant (LMP) Supervisor
Location: Namibia (Onshore – Liquid Mud Plant / Drilling Fluids Base)
Duration: Approximately 12 months
Start Date: June / July 2026
Job Purpose
The Liquid Mud Plant (LMP) Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision and management of liquid mud plant operations, ensuring the safe and efficient mixing, storage, and supply of drilling fluids to support offshore drilling operations.
The role will oversee plant personnel, ensure drilling fluids are prepared to programme specifications, and maintain operational readiness of all plant equipment while ensuring compliance with company HSE standards and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily operations of the Liquid Mud Plant, ensuring efficient mixing, storage, and transfer of drilling fluids.
• Manage and coordinate the LMP operations team, including operators and plant support personnel.
• Ensure drilling fluids are prepared in accordance with the drilling programme and mud engineer specifications.
• Oversee inventory management of base fluids, chemicals, and additives.
• Coordinate bulk loading and transfer operations to supply vessels servicing offshore drilling rigs.
• Ensure proper maintenance, inspection, and functionality of plant equipment, including pumps, mixing systems, tanks, and transfer systems.
• Monitor fluid volumes, plant capacity, and operational readiness to meet offshore drilling requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational reports, inventory records, and plant documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, environmental regulations, and local Namibian operational requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate closely with Drilling Fluids Engineers, Logistics Teams, and Offshore Operations.
• Support continuous improvement of plant operations and safety performance.
Required Experience
• Minimum 5–8 years experience in drilling fluids or liquid mud plant operations.
• Proven experience working in Liquid Mud Plant (LMP) or bulk drilling fluids facilities.
• Strong knowledge of drilling fluids systems (WBM, OBM, SBM).
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience within drilling fluids operations is preferred.
• Strong understanding of mud mixing, fluid handling systems, and bulk storage operations.
