Our Client is currently seeking experienced Generator Technicians to support offshore operations across the United States. The successful candidates will have strong experience in generator maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and fault finding on diesel-powered generator systems ranging from 20kVA to 220kVA. This role requires technicians who can work safely and efficiently in offshore environments while maintaining high operational and HSE standards. Candidates must be self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform offshore service, maintenance, and repair work on generators ranging from 20kVA to 220kVA.
  • Conduct testing, inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on generator systems.
  • Apply advanced fault-finding techniques during breakdowns and emergency callouts.
  • Monitor and maintain spare parts, consumables, and materials required for offshore works.
  • Organize and segregate waste materials generated during maintenance activities in accordance with environmental procedures.
  • Support the mobilization and demobilization of offshore generators and associated equipment.
  • Assist refueling technicians with offshore generator refueling operations when required.
  • Compile and complete accurate service reports, maintenance records, and daily activity reports.
  • Organize tools, equipment, and materials required for daily operational tasks.
  • Attend and participate in Toolbox Talks and safety meetings conducted by the company or client.
  • Submit safety observation cards and proactively identify both positive and negative safety observations.
  • Maintain all training certifications and competencies required for the role.
  • Support the Shore Based Manager and offshore operations team as needed.
  • Assist with vessel housekeeping duties, including maintaining clean and orderly crew areas and workspaces.
  • Always represent the company in a safe, professional, and customer-focused manner.

Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

  • Follow all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Comply with all company and client HSE policies, procedures, and offshore safety standards.
  • Work safely at all times and promote a strong safety culture onboard.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with offshore operational and environmental regulations.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience servicing and maintaining diesel generators in offshore, marine, industrial, or oil & gas environments.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience.
  • Experience working on generators ranging from 20kVA to 220kVA preferred.
  • Offshore experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently in demanding offshore environments.
