Upstream Manager – Cementing Laboratory
12–15 years
We are seeking an experienced Manager – Cementing Laboratory to lead cementing laboratory operations and provide technical support for oil & gas cementing projects. The role is responsible for laboratory testing, cement slurry design, job simulations, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and team leadership while ensuring compliance with API and QHSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day cementing laboratory operations.
- Design and evaluate cement slurries for primary and remedial cementing.
- Conduct laboratory testing, including rheology, fluid loss, thickening time, and compressive strength.
- Provide technical support to engineering, operations, sales, and clients.
- Troubleshoot cementing challenges and recommend solutions.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, SOPs, and quality documentation.
- Lead and develop laboratory personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with API standards, QHSE policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 12–15 years of cementing laboratory experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Strong expertise in cement slurry design, laboratory testing, and job simulation software.
- Previous leadership experience managing laboratory teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
