Upstream Sourcing Specialist – Kuwait (Permanent Role)
Our client in Kuwait is seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to join their Supply Chain Division on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing reliable local and international suppliers, supporting sourcing strategies, conducting commercial analysis, and assisting procurement activities to ensure cost-effective and reliable supply solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers.
- Support supplier prequalification, commercial evaluations, and vendor performance tracking.
- Conduct pricing analysis, supplier benchmarking, and market research.
- Support procurement negotiations through commercial insights and supplier intelligence.
- Maintain sourcing databases and procurement documentation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support sourcing decisions and business continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Management, or related field.
- 4–7 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor development, or supply chain.
- Experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, chemicals, industrial materials, or technical procurement is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of supplier sourcing, prequalification, and commercial evaluation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP/procurement system experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with high attention to detail and integrity.
