Upstream We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Well Testing Supervisor to join an oil and gas project in Israel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of well testing operations, including mobilisation, rig-up, pressure testing, well clean-up, flow testing, data acquisition, sampling, shut-in periods and demobilisation.
The role requires a strong background in surface well testing, pressure control, well integrity, flowback operations and HSE leadership, together with the ability to supervise personnel and coordinate effectively with the drilling, completions, production and client teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for well testing operations at the wellsite.
- Review the approved well test programme before commencement of operations.
- Ensure the well test equipment and personnel are fully prepared and fit for purpose.
- Supervise mobilisation, rig-up, testing and demobilisation of the well test spread.
- Ensure all equipment is correctly installed and within its certified pressure rating.
- Supervise function testing and pressure testing of the test equipment.
- Ensure all valves, lines, pressure-control equipment and safety systems are correctly configured before commencing operations.
- Monitor well pressures, temperatures, flow rates and other operational parameters throughout the test.
- Control and optimise choke settings in accordance with the approved test programme.
- Supervise well clean-up, flow periods, drawdown, build-up and shut-in operations.
- Monitor separator pressures, temperatures, levels and flow conditions.
- Manage changes in well conditions and escalate abnormal situations immediately.
- Ensure test operations remain within the approved operating envelope.
