Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Wellsite Coordinators to support drilling and workover operations in Nigeria. The successful candidates will coordinate day-to-day wellsite activities, ensuring operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
The positions will support operations, clients, working closely with the rig/site teams, service companies and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day drilling and workover activities at the wellsite.
- Coordinate activities service companies, the rig/site team and the client.
- Ensure wellsite activities are planned and executed safely and efficiently.
- Monitor operational progress and communicate updates, issues and changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Support coordination of personnel, equipment, materials and services required for ongoing operations.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved programmes, procedures and client requirements.
- Identify operational risks and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
- Support the investigation and resolution of operational issues and delays.
- Maintain effective communication between onshore management and the wellsite/rig.
- Ensure required documentation, reports and operational records are completed accurately.
- Promote and maintain a strong HSE culture throughout the operation.
- Ensure compliance with client, Service Company and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
Experience Required
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in drilling and/or workover operations.
- Previous experience working in a wellsite coordination or similar operational role.
- Strong understanding of drilling and workover operations and associated service activities.
- Experience coordinating multiple service providers and operational teams.
- Experience working in either offshore shallow-water or onshore drilling environments, as applicable.
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural environment.
Required Certifications / Training
Candidates should hold current and relevant certification/training in:
- Well Control
- Stuck Pipe Prevention / Stuck Pipe Training
- HSE training, in line with client requirements
- Any additional mandatory client, Service Company or Nigerian offshore/onshore certifications applicable to the assignment.
Working Pattern
28 days on / 28 days off rotation.
Four positions will support offshore shallow-water operations and four positions will support onshore land operations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced wellsite professional with a strong operational background in drilling and workover activities. They should be confident coordinating multiple teams and service providers while maintaining a strong focus on safety, operational efficiency and compliance.
