Visuna win Growth Award in 2023 North East Business Awards
We are pleased to share that Visuna have won the Growth Award at the 2023 North East Business Awards for the Durham, Sunderland & South Tyneside Cohort. The Growth Award recognises a growing medium-sized business that has taken tangible steps to increase its scale and impact.
These awards celebrate innovation, and honour brilliant people going the extra mile for the service provided to their customers and clients. As well as this, it shines a light on the fantastic things businesses are doing to make a difference in the North East.
On Tuesday 26th September 2023, winners are invited to attend Hardwick Hall. The sub-regional winners will go head-to-head at the Grand Final in September!

Our History
Previously known as Oil Consultants, with a specialism in oil and gas personnel recruitment, we’ve embraced the energy transition at this exciting time. Under our new name Visuna, we are now working across all energy and technology sectors.
For the past 20 years, we have been connecting the best people from our international talent pool to the best opportunities. Our passion for finding the right solutions for our clients remains at the core of what we do. Over the years, we have established relations in key geographical areas.
About Us
During 2022, we recognised a need to diversify both our client and market mix, which will secure our long term future and allow our business to expand. This diversification included a rebrand with a new name, new values, new internal systems, additional marketing activity and even the launch of a brand new website. We implemented an additional recruitment and business development team and expanded to new geographical locations to support this too. In this time, we opened an office in Texas and appointed a team there, who have grown our USA operations. We’ve also continued to grow business in our core locations, including Saudi Arabia and Australia.
In the last 12 months we’ve increased headcount and implemented a more streamlined operations structure to promote consistent and compliant operations. This included a hiring a Commercial Director to bring a stronger business development focus to the recruitment team. Alongside this, the introduction of new HR and Marketing roles ensure we have the right expertise for company growth plans. New roles were also created to aid development and promotion opportunities for existing team members. Plus, we supported a member of the team in their transition from working at the UK office to a new role at the Brisbane office.
After a continuous period of growth in 2022, we moved our UK head office to a more spacious location in Washington, Tyne and Wear to accommodate our team.

Recruitment Consultants:
We have a team of dedicated and driven recruitment consultants who are passionate about getting the right people to the right opportunities to our clients. Throughout the recruitment process, they manage everything from sourcing and selecting ideal personnel to the offer stage and beyond.
Recruitment Support Coordinators:
The team are in charge of the global mobilisation of candidates once they are successfully chosen and placed. To ensure that our clients remain compliance with worldwide HR and legal processes, this position is crucial in meeting guidelines. Smooth processing assists with the ongoing growth of our organisation.
Support Functions:
Our support team, including Finance, Marketing, HR and IT, are vital to the smooth and successful running of business operations.
We recognise the importance of looking after our people to ensure we have a motivated, engaged, productive, and diverse team. This enables us to constantly evolve and expand as an organisation.
