Senior Corrosion and Integrity Engineer
Our global client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Corrosion and Integrity Engineer for upcoming long-term work in Kuwait.
Responsibilities of the Senior Corrosion and Integrity Engineer:
- Coordinate the efficient and cost-effective implementation of corrosion management programs.
- Ensure the integrity of plant facilities including all onshore structures, pipelines, stationary equipment, piping systems etc.
- Conduct special studies and analyses in a specialised corrosion control field, such as cathodic protection, water treatment, chemical inhabitation or materials selection.
- Provide specialised technical corrosion control services and consultant.
- Involved in creating and/or enhancing existing processes.
- Developing and driving a consistent approach to equipment and pipework integrity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineer, preferably in Materials and Corrosion or Process Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years experience in processing within the Oil and Gas industry, material science, and metrology.
- Knowledge in the engineering aspect of welding.
- Hold a valid NACE Specialist Certification or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist, or API-571 and NACE CP level II (preferable) or a Corrosion Chartered Engineer.
- Knowledge of the international standards and codes NACE, ASME, API, and ASTOM, especially inspection and corrosion standards, such as ISO 15156, API-571, API-580, API-581, API-570, and API-510 is required.
- Specific knowledge and experience of process operating systems and corrosion risk assessments – e.g. CO2/H2S corrosion related to hydrocarbon processing.
- Experience in implementing and used Risk Based Inspection software.
