Our global client has requirements for experienced Mud Loggers to be permanently employed for work in Algeria on a rotational basis.


Overview: We are currently seeking experienced Mud Loggers to support our clients’ on land in operations in Algeria.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording geological and drilling data to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the drilling process. You will collaborate closely with the drilling team to provide real-time analysis, enabling optimal decision-making and safe well construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mud Logging Operations: Monitor and analyze drilling fluid properties, gas levels, cuttings, and other geological data during drilling operations. Accurately record and document all relevant information.
  • Data Interpretation: Interpret geological and geophysical data in real time, identifying key trends and anomalies to assist in decision-making processes during drilling activities.
  • Wellbore Monitoring: Track wellbore conditions, mud properties, and drilling parameters to detect any potential issues, ensuring that the drilling operation runs smoothly and safely.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the drilling team, engineers, and geologists to provide critical input and real-time data, contributing to operational success and optimization.
  • Logging and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date mud logging records, providing daily reports on well progress, mud parameters, gas levels, and other critical data. Ensure timely reporting of any significant observations or incidents.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain mud logging equipment, ensuring that all instruments are calibrated, functional, and in good working condition. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to logging equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mud Logger, preferably with major service company.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mud logging procedures, wellbore monitoring, and data analysis. Familiarity with gas detection and other mud logging tools and technologies.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in mud logging or other oil and gas operational qualifications are a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and address issues in real time. Proficiency in data entry and logging software.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to provide clear and accurate reports and collaborate effectively with team members.
