Our global Client is currently seeking an experienced Civil Work Planning Consultant for a 5 week project in Saudi Arabia.
The Civil Work Consultant are to provide planning support only for civil works related
to wellsite preparation and rig access road development for upcoming drilling
operations. At this point, the consultant is not expected to be involved for
execution or supervision of construction activities but might conduct site
surveys.
Project Overview (Execution)
Access Roads
- Planning for construction of 13 new skid road sections (~30 km
total). - Planning for upgrading of existing skid roads (~70 km total).
Wellsite and Cellar Preparation
- Planning for construction of 11 new wellsites suitable for 2000
HP rigs. - Planning for upgrading of 7 legacy wellsites for rig
operations. - Planning for minor conditioning work on 9 existing wellsites.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering for
oilfield infrastructure. - Proven expertise in planning wellsite and access road
development. - Strong understanding of local terrain, logistics, and
construction practices. - Ability to work independently and coordinate with
multidisciplinary teams.
Consultant Responsibilities (Planning)
1. Civil Works Procurement Planning
- Support development of tender documents for civil works.
- Support Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) alignment.
- Assist in vendor evaluation and provide recommendations.
- Support Civil Works contractor selection process
2. Access Roads Planning
- Coordinate with SMEs representatives to align on execution scope
and specifications. - Confirm material sourcing and transportation feasibility.
- Develop a detailed Access Roads Project Execution Plan for use
by execution teams.
3. Wellsite Planning
- Prepare wellsite layout designs, including well cellar
requirements. - Interface with rig contractors and SME representatives to
finalize layout specifications. - Confirm material sourcing and transportation feasibility.
- Develop a Wellsite Project Execution Plan for use by execution
teams.
4. Civil Works Planning
- Compile a complete Civil Works Project Execution Plan
integrating access roads and wellsite preparation scopes. - Include execution strategy, schedule, resource planning, risk
assessment, and quality assurance recommendations.
