Our client in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Senior Hydrogeologist / Hydrologist to join their team on a long term assignment. The Ideal candidate will lead and coordinate technical tasks related to urban water balance assessment, groundwater recharge analysis, and integrated water resources management within the Riyadh Water Monitoring and Control Program. The position requires advanced technical, analytical, and management expertise to ensure high-quality deliverables across hydrology, hydrogeology, and environmental disciplines.
Define the water balance study boundaries in coordination with project stakeholders (15+ study zones).
Develop the methodology for urban water balance and recharge quantification.
Collect and validate hydrologic, meteorological, and network data related to rainfall, leakage, inflows, and evaporation.
Quantify all outputs and losses (evaporation, infiltration, groundwater abstraction, irrigation, etc.).
Apply telemetry and SCADA data to monitor inflow and outflow components in real time.
Integrate surface water, wastewater, and groundwater data into a unified water budget model.
Lead the groundwater recharge assessment and flow conceptualization.
Evaluate wadi flow gauges and generate stage–discharge (rating) curves.
Support and review groundwater numerical models (MODFLOW / FEFLOW) to ensure consistency with water balance outcomes.
Conduct aquifer characterization and hydrostratigraphic correlation.
Support geological and hydrogeological assessments for selected sites.
