Job Advert: Facilities Engineer – Congested Oilfield
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team and support the design, optimization, and operation of facilities in congested oilfield environments. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and high-performance operations across complex production systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities

Facility Design & Development: Design and develop oil and gas facilities, including production platforms, pipelines, processing plants, and storage infrastructure tailored to congested oilfields.

Space Optimization: Optimize facility layouts to maximize space usage, minimize congestion, and maintain safe operational standards.

Debottlenecking & Performance Optimization: Identify constraints and implement debottlenecking solutions to enhance production capacity. Use surface network models to diagnose throughput limitations and prioritize improvements.

Flow Assurance: Implement effective flow assurance strategies (thermal management, chemical dosing, etc.) to sustain production in constrained flowlines.

Maintenance & Operations Support: Develop and execute maintenance plans to ensure reliable and efficient facility operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with reservoir and production engineering teams to align network models with reservoir forecasts and facility capabilities.
Essential Competencies

Technical Expertise: Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering principles, with specific experience in facility design and operations within congested oilfields.

Problem-Solving: Ability to tackle complex engineering challenges and deliver robust optimization solutions.

Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects from initial concept through execution, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree: Required in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.

Professional Certifications: Credentials in project management or specialized engineering disciplines are an advantage.
