Job Description – Mechanic (x2)
Position Overview
We are seeking two experienced Mechanics to provide maintenance and operational support for coil tubing (CT) equipment for a major oil and gas client in Qatar. The role involves working across onshore bases and offshore assets, ensuring reliable performance of conventional and X11 coil tubing units, HP pumps, C-pumps, and associated mechanical systems.
The ideal candidates will have strong oilfield mechanical backgrounds, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work independently in high-pressure operational environments.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on X11 and conventional CT units, including power packs, reels, injectors, and drive components.

Service, troubleshoot, and overhaul HP pumps, C-pumps, and high-pressure fluid systems.

Inspect and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and mechanical drive assemblies associated with CT equipment.

Conduct mechanical diagnostics to identify faults and recommend repair or replacement of components.

Support offshore/onshore CT operations, including rig-up, testing, and equipment readiness.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, defect logs, and service reports in line with client requirements.

Work collaboratively with electronic, hydraulic, and operational teams to resolve equipment issues efficiently.

Ensure all mechanical works meet safety standards, OEM procedures, and client guidelines.

Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and routine equipment audits.

Provide standby support for urgent repairs during critical operational windows.
Required Qualifications & Experience

5+ years mechanical experience in oilfield services, coil tubing operations, or heavy equipment maintenance.

Strong mechanical knowledge and proven experience working with:

X11 or conventional CT units

HP Pump systems
-
C-Pump systems
-

Proficiency in repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, gearboxes, fluid systems, and rotating equipment.

Ability to read mechanical drawings, service manuals, and equipment schematics.

Previous offshore experience is strongly preferred.

Valid offshore certification (OPITO BOSIET, H2S, Offshore Medical) or ability to obtain prior to mobilization.

Strong safety mindset with experience following PTW and industry HSE standards
