The Senior Reservoir Geologist: must assure the execution of all subsurface activities and analysis and their implementation through the reservoir studies workflow to guarantee the finalization of most reliable and updated reservoir models for the fields of Block 15-06 to be used for providing field development planning to maximizing ultimate recovery, development of subsurface opportunities and production growth to maximize recovery. As part of this main activity, he/she has to prepare and follow-up geological operations, as well as monitoring the drilling activities and all the required actions both in terms of data acquisition and execution.

It requires the support for the technical development of resources of the less experienced Geologists in the team.

Accountabilities

– Work as a Single Point of contact for the deepwater development fields in B15-06;

– Responsible to independently build and update static reservoir for the fields;

– Coordinate the evaluation of depositional models;

– Lead and coordinate internal and external reservoir performance review meetings;

– Well hopper opportunities and preparation for the end of the year reserves submission;

– Build capability providing support to the less experienced staff. Responsibilities

– Carrying out/updating reservoir studies making static geological models by using Company’s software (i.e., Petrel) based on well data record, sedimentology, seismic and rock data, properly reflecting the reservoir uncertainties (structure, rock fragments, properties, etc.);

– Interacting with the and Geophysicist/Sedimentology Specialists and Reservoir Engineers, whenever necessary, during the construction and valuation of static models;

– Estimating HCIIP (Hydrocarbons Initially in Place) volumes based on static models, petrophysical records and PVT (pressure, volume, temperature), reflecting the reservoir uncertainties and risks;

– Providing support to Reservoir Engineers during the reservoir/well performance analysis, History match, well testing analyses and field development planning;

– Carrying out regional geological studies on important and specific Angolan training that may be necessary.

– Support Res. Eng. in the Reservoir management for the development of Block 15/06 hopper portfolio of new options.

– Supporting key business decisions and project milestones, ensuring that subsurface uncertainty and risk management is understood, and new opportunities are properly evaluated;

– Ensure that appropriate appraisal and surveillance data is obtained in the exploration wells to evaluate development options and mitigate development risks and uncertainty, GENERAL determine realistic development scenarios and assessing the commercial viability of the prospects.

– Manage and maintain the Block 15/06 wells hopper in support to well intervention planning and execution.

– Support Reservoir Engineering in generating field development plan scenarios, including alternative depletion strategies, reservoir management plans, and surveillance plans, while providing risk identification throughout the appraisal and development phases of projects.

Main Interfaces

– BLK 15/06 Res. Management SL and Reservoir Manager – to ensure alignment with the overall Azule Reservoir Management plans and how it connects with the Azule Business Plan;

– Block Asset Managers – to ensure Reservoir subsurface activities are aligned with the Asset priorities and deliverables.

– Drilling and Wells Team Leader – to make sure reservoir subsurface activities are properly supporting and enabling drilling and wells plans.

– Performance team leader – to ensure subsurface KPI are measured, lessons learned captured and aligned with business Plan;

– Data management team leader – to make sure data management issues, migration, integration, technical and data quality issues are resolved and actively seeking to apply data science techniques: automation and machine learning, including the use of analytical and visualization tools to translate data and interpreted results into actionable insights and value.
