Position Summary
The Customer Engagement Coordinator supports the delivery of oil & gas projects by managing communication between clients and internal operational teams. The role ensures service requests, mobilizations, and project execution activities are handled efficiently and in compliance with Nigerian industry regulations. The coordinator plays a key role in project scheduling, documentation, contract support, service quality reporting, and maintaining strong client relationships across major IOCs, NOCs, and service companies.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship & Communication
- Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries, work requests, and project updates.
- Manage day-to-day communication with clients (IOCs, NOCs, EPC contractors, JV partners).
- Coordinate technical reviews, client meetings, mobilization briefings, and post-job debriefs.
- Ensure timely follow-ups on action items, approvals, and project deliverables.
Project Coordination & Service Delivery Support
- Receive and validate customer service requests, call-outs, and job programmes.
- Coordinate operational planning, equipment scheduling, and field crew mobilization.
- Work with logistics teams on Nigeria-specific requirements (PES approvals, vessel/rig access, manifesting, permits).
- Track job progress and keep all internal and external stakeholders updated.
- Monitor service KPIs such as job timing, NPT, utilization, and compliance to work scopes.
Commercial, Contractual & Administrative Support
- Assist with tender submissions, local content documentation, pricing updates, and commercial proposals.
- Maintain accurate contract files, job tickets, delivery notes, and cost trackers.
- Support invoicing accuracy by ensuring job completion documents and service tickets are correctly recorded.
- Coordinate with finance and contracts teams on billing, LPO verification, and client approvals.
Service Quality, Compliance & HSE
- Ensure all project activities comply with company SQ standards, Nigerian regulations, and client HSE policies.
- Support incident reporting, corrective actions, and non-conformance closure.
- Compile service quality reports, lessons learned, and customer satisfaction feedback.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian Local Content requirements (NCDMB) where applicable.
Reporting & Data Management
- Prepare weekly/monthly operations dashboards, job status reports, KPIs, and performance scorecards.
- Maintain accurate data in project management tools, CRM, and operational systems.
- Provide real-time visibility on job readiness, resource planning, and operational risks.
- Support management with periodic reviews and performance analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience in the oil & gas sector, ideally in service delivery, coordination, or project support.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with multinational clients.
- Ability to manage fast-paced project environments with strict timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant digital tools (CRM, ERP platforms).
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting field operations, drilling services, completions, well intervention, or production services.
- Familiarity with Nigerian oil & gas regulatory frameworks (NUPRC, NCDMB, NIPEX).
- Understanding of offshore and onshore project logistics (permits, manifests, security protocols).
