Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager who thrives on providing top-notch client experiences, creatively solving problems, and enhancing our clients' brand recognition.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

Share Technical Knowledge with Clients
  • Explain their equipment, capabilities, and experience.
  • Highlight what makes the client different.
  • Show clients with cost benefits of their solutions.
Build and Maintain Key Relationships
  • Develop strong connections with important decision-makers within client companies.
Focus on Excellent Client Experience
  • Listen to clients' problems and think of creative solutions.
  • Clearly communicate client issues to our team.
  • Discuss potential solutions with both clients and our team.
  • Earn clients' trust through honesty, accuracy, and timely actions.
  • Advocate for our clients' needs.
Improve Sales Processes
  • Help create processes and tools for delivering high-quality proposals, solutions, and quotes quickly.
Expand Brand Recognition
  • Find new markets and clients.
  • Suggest ways to increase client exposure.
  • Contribute to articles and advertisements.
  • Attend and speak at trade shows and conferences.
Maintain a Strong Pipeline
  • Keep track of potential projects and follow up regularly with clients.
Partner with Clients Throughout Projects
  • Lead technical proposal efforts and client meetings.
  • Provide solutions to client problems.
  • Improve estimating accuracy.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years experience in the following; heavy load handling, government contracting and subcontracting, shipbuilding and port infrastructure.
  • Reliable and committed to getting the job done.
  • Able to gain clients' respect through knowledge and experience.
  • Highly organised and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
