Coiled Tubing Senior Operator

Our client is seeking an experienced Coiled Tubing Senior Operator to join their onshore team in Iraq.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining coiled tubing equipment to support various well services operations.

Responsibilities of the Coiled Tubing Senior Operator:

  • Operate coiled tubing equipment for a variety of applications, including well intervention, stimulation, and cleanouts.
  • Conduct pre-job safety meetings and risk assessments to ensure safe operations on-site.
  • Monitor coiled tubing operations, adjusting parameters as necessary to optimise performance and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of coiled tubing equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop and implement job plans, including equipment selection and logistical requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, including job reports, maintenance logs, and inventory of coiled tubing and associated equipment.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior crew members in coiled tubing operations and safety protocols.
  • Promptly respond to equipment failures or safety incidents, implementing emergency procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification or degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in coiled tubing operation or related oil and gas services.
  • Strong knowledge of coiled tubing equipment and its applications in well services.
  • Experience working in onshore oil and gas operations, preferably in a Middle Eastern context.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
  • Willing to work in remote locations and adhere to a rigorous work schedule, including extended hours as necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license and able to obtain any necessary certifications for operating heavy equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and efficiency in a challenging environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be physically fit to perform manual tasks and work in various weather conditions.
  • Able to work at heights and in confined spaces as required by job operations.
