Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute directional and horizontal drilling operations on onshore and offshore rigs.

Monitor real-time drilling parameters and adjust operations to maintain optimal trajectory and avoid drilling hazards.

Collaborate closely with drilling engineers, geologists, MWD/LWD personnel, and rig crews.

Interpret MWD/LWD data to make informed drilling decisions.

Operate and maintain downhole tools and directional drilling systems.
-
Prepare end-of-well reports, BHA summaries, and directional surveys.

Ensure all operations comply with HSE standards, company policies, and local regulations.

Troubleshoot downhole and surface equipment issues to minimize non-productive time (NPT).

Provide leadership and technical direction to junior directional drilling personnel.

Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular updates to clients and company supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Directional Driller in the oil and gas industry.

Proven experience in onshore and offshore drilling environments.
-
Solid knowledge of directional drilling techniques, wellbore hydraulics, BHA design, torque and drag, and anti-collision principles.

Familiar with MWD/LWD technologies and telemetry systems.

Proficiency with drilling software (e.g., WellPlan, Compass, or similar).

Strong understanding of HSE principles and best practices.

Valid BOSIET/HUET, medical certificates, and offshore survival training (for offshore work).
