Overview: We are currently seeking skilled Directional Drillers with deepwater experience to support our clients’ offshore operations in Romania. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing directional drilling operations to achieve project objectives safely and efficiently. You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards while delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directional Drilling Operations: Plan, design, and execute directional drilling programs to ensure precise wellbore placement and alignment, meeting both technical and project objectives.
- Wellbore Control: Monitor real-time wellbore data, analyze drilling parameters, and adjust directional programs to ensure wellbore stability and operational success.
- Collaboration: Work alongside drilling engineers, geologists, and other operational teams to refine well designs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the efficiency of drilling activities.
- Equipment Management: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot directional drilling equipment, including mud motors, MWD/LWD systems, RSS, and other advanced drilling technologies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Directional Driller with specific experience in deepwater drilling operations.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of directional drilling techniques, wellbore placement, and the use of MWD/LWD, RSS, and other relevant technologies.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications in directional drilling or other specialized qualifications in oil and gas drilling operations.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to handle complex drilling challenges in offshore environments.
