Upstream We are seeking experienced Directional Drillers and Measurement Logging While Drilling (MLWD) Consultants to support drilling operations in Angola. These roles are critical to ensuring accurate well placement, real-time data acquisition, and safe, efficient drilling performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute directional drilling operations in line with well objectives
- Interpret well plans, survey data, and downhole tool information
- Control well trajectory using rotary steerable systems or mud motors
- Monitor drilling parameters and optimize performance in real time
- Collaborate with drilling supervisors, geologists, and rig crews
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company policies
- Prepare daily reports and end-of-well documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Directional Driller in oil & gas operations
- Strong knowledge of directional drilling tools and software
- Experience with RSS and/or conventional motor drilling
- Ability to read and interpret well plans and geological data
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Relevant technical certification or degree preferred
