Dredge Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Dredge Superintendent to oversee and manage day-to-day dredging operations for capital and maintenance dredging projects in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities of the Dredge Superintendent:

  • Ensuring smooth operations on site, adhering to project timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the execution of dredging operations, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Direct and coordinate the work of dredging vessels and crews, ensuring that equipment is used efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor the performance of dredging vessels, making adjustments as necessary to optimise productivity.
  • Plan daily activities, including equipment mobilisation, positioning, and maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to implement project plans, ensuring that dredging operations align with project specifications and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with technical and contractual requirements, and address any operational challenges encountered on site.
  • Track production rates, and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
  • Work closely with survey teams to ensure dredging activities meet design levels and project requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dredging Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in dredging and reclamation projects, with a strong focus on capital dredging and experience with maintenance dredging.
  • Proven expertise in managing dredging operations, with hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting dredging equipment.
  • Experience working with a variety of dredging vessels and techniques.
  • Strong technical background in dredging, reclamation, and marine construction.
  • Ability to lead and manage site activities efficiently.
