Oilfield Services Drilling Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a Drilling Engineer for work in Ankara, Turkey on behalf of our client who is a leading oil and gas service company.
This role will support a critical project, and the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and cost-effective drilling programs.
Responsibilities of the Drilling Engineer:
- Lead well planning and design activities for drilling operations.
- Develop and review well designs and technical specifications in alignment with project objectives.
- Prepare well planning documentation, including Basis of Design (BoD), well programs, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of drilling operations within the overall project scope.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the drilling phase to ensure successful execution and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, ensuring minimal downtime and cost-effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Strong background in well planning, well design, and Basis of Design.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in drilling engineering, with a proven track record or working in well planning roles for major operations.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is essential; experience in international projects is a plus.
Additional Information:
- This work will start in Q1 of 2025, with a contract duration of 6 months, with possibility of extension.
