Upstream Role Purpose
Support the delivery of well design and planning activities for the exploration well project, ensuring that all engineering deliverables are developed in accordance with project objectives, applicable standards, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform offset well reviews, lessons learned analysis, and drilling risk identification.
- Develop and support well design deliverables including trajectory, casing, drilling fluids, cementing, directional drilling, and well control requirements.
- Participate in pore pressure, fracture gradient, and wellbore stability evaluations and incorporate findings into the well design.
- Prepare Basis of Design (BOD), engineering calculations, technical reports, and drilling program inputs.
- Conduct casing design verification, load case assessments, and well integrity evaluations.
- Support equipment selection, drilling optimization studies, and technical assurance reviews.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geology, geomechanics, completion, HSE, and operations personnel.
- Contribute to cost and schedule estimates, risk assessments, and project execution planning.
- Participate in client meetings, technical workshops, presentations, and design reviews.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed in compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and project requirements.

Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Petroleum, Drilling, or Mechanical Engineering
- 12+ yrs experience in well planning and drilling engineering.
- IWCF-Supervisor level combined or onshore as minimum
- Experience with Landmark drilling engineering software and well design workflows.
- Strong technical reporting and stakeholder communication skills.
