Geomodeler
Our client in seeking two Geomodelers for urgent work in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities of the Geomodeler:
- Participate and work on reservoir studies for clients with the objective of creating models that are suitable for prospect evaluation, dynamic fluid flow simulation and/or well placement planning.
- Balances priorities and interfaces with customers to ensure expectations are met within the confines of policies, technical and professional limits.
- Make independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions.
- Keep others informed of actions and reasons behind them.
- Quality control of data.
- Well log correlation.
- Geological model conceptualisation.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified professional Geoscientist, with a minimum of a Bachelor degree in geology.
- Demonstrate a variety of technical assignments requiring familiarity with a broad field of Geoscience and other domains.
- Intimate knowledge of the subsurface analysis and modeling workflow.
- A basic to intermediate understanding of Geophysics, Geomechanics or Petrophysics is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of core analysis and regional depositional and structural studies may enhance the analysis.
Experience:
- BS with minimum 7 years of related experience.
- MS with minimum 5 years of related experience.
- PhD with minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- If no degree, more than 12yrs related work experience.
Software Skills:
- Has a proven record of working with Petrel.
- Knows the Petrel software.
- Structural modeling.
- Property modeling.
- Volumetric calculations and uncertainty analysis.
- Petrel workflow programming.
