Upstream Geoscientist (G&G) – OTA Onsite Support
We are looking for an experienced Geoscientist (G&G) to provide full-time onsite technical and application support for subsurface G&G operations within the oil & gas industry.
The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Landmark G&G applications, particularly DecisionSpace Geosciences (DSG), OpenWorks (OW) and Landmark Classic applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical and application support for Landmark G&G applications.
- Support geological, geophysical and petrophysical interpretation workflows.
- Troubleshoot application, project, data, workflow and performance-related issues.
- Support DecisionSpace Geosciences (DSG) and OpenWorks environments.
- Assist users with seismic interpretation, structural interpretation, well correlation and reservoir mapping.
- Support seismic-to-well integration, velocity/depth workflows, stratigraphic interpretation and reservoir characterization.
- Provide user training, mentoring and technical knowledge transfer.
- Recommend appropriate workflows and solutions based on users’ technical requirements.
- Support data exchange and interoperability between Landmark and other subsurface platforms.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology.
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant oil & gas experience.
- Proven experience providing onsite technical/application support for Landmark G&G applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with DecisionSpace Geosciences (DSG) and OpenWorks (OW).
- Good knowledge of Landmark Classic applications including SeisWorks, StratWorks and ZMAP.
- Strong understanding of geological and geophysical interpretation workflows.
- Understanding of petrophysical data and its integration into G&G workflows.
- Experience with major third-party G&G applications is highly desirable.
- Exposure to DecisionSpace Petrophysics (DSPP), DecisionSpace Earth Modeling (DSEM), Seismic Analysis and/or Permedia would be advantageous.
Certification
Relevant Landmark software training/certification is required, with training in DecisionSpace Geosciences, OpenWorks and/or Landmark Classic G&G applications highly preferred.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a technically strong Geoscientist with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills who can work directly with subsurface users, understand their technical objectives and provide practical application and workflow solutions.
Strong communication, mentoring, presentation and knowledge-transfer skills are essential.
