We are seeking experienced HSE Personnel to join our team supporting oilfield operations in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance across the project.

The role will involve working closely with operational teams, supervisors, management and the client to ensure that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently and in full compliance with company and client requirements.

Previous experience with SLB (Schlumberger) will be considered a strong advantage.

The day rate for this position will be $200 – please do not apply for this position if you are not willing to accept the day rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project and wellsite activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety observations and HSE audits.
  • Monitor operational activities to ensure compliance with approved HSE procedures and risk assessments.
  • Review and monitor Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permit to Work (PTW) documentation.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings and pre-job safety meetings.
  • Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support incident, near-miss and accident investigations and assist with root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, inspection findings and corrective-action registers.
  • Monitor the correct use of PPE and compliance with site safety requirements.
  • Ensure emergency procedures are understood and followed by all personnel.
  • Assist with emergency drills and preparedness activities.
  • Monitor environmental controls, including waste management, spill prevention and pollution control.
  • Provide HSE guidance and support to supervisors and operational personnel.
  • Stop or intervene in unsafe work where necessary and escalate significant HSE concerns to project management.
  • Participate in client meetings, inspections and HSE reviews as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company, client and applicable Saudi Arabian HSE requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of project HSE performance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in an HSE role within the Oil & Gas, Well Services or Energy sector.
  • Relevant HSE qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ, HSE Diploma or equivalent.
  • Recognised health and safety training appropriate to the role.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment, PTW systems, incident reporting and investigation.
  • Good understanding of oilfield/wellsite operations and associated hazards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work confidently with operational personnel, supervisors, management and clients.
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work in demanding site conditions and rotational environments.
  • Valid passport and ability to obtain the required Saudi Arabian work visa and medical clearance.
