Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain MWD/LWD tools during drilling operations, ensuring accurate and continuous data acquisition.

Monitor and interpret real-time downhole data, including directional surveys, formation evaluation logs, and drilling dynamics.

Configure, calibrate, and test surface and downhole sensors prior to and during operations.

Provide real-time decision support to drilling and geology teams based on data collected.

Troubleshoot and resolve tool failures or data quality issues to minimize non-productive time (NPT).

Ensure all tool run data, reports, and logs are accurately documented and submitted post-job.

Maintain strong communication with directional drillers, rig personnel, and client representatives.

Adhere to company and client HSE standards and ensure tools and equipment are handled safely.

Support pre-job planning and post-job debriefs, including lessons learned and performance reviews.

Ensure tools are prepared, shipped, and tracked according to operational schedules and logistics planning.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Geosciences, or related field (preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience).

Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as an MWD and/or LWD Engineer in the oil and gas sector.

Experience working in onshore and offshore drilling environments.

Proficient in use of MWD/LWD systems from major service providers (e.g., Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Weatherford).

Familiarity with real-time data transmission systems and rig-site software (e.g., INSITE, RigLink, Drillbench, etc.).

Strong understanding of directional drilling principles, formation evaluation, and borehole positioning.

Valid BOSIET/HUET, offshore medical, and safety training certificates.
