Upstream Onsite Machinists
Are you looking for a new opportunity in Qatar? Our client is seeking Onsite Machinists and Advanced Onsite Machinists.
Responsibilities of the Onsite Machinists:
- Set up and operate portable machining equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, drills and grinders.
- Perform precision machining tasks, including turning, grinding, and drilling, to meet specified tolerances and dimensional requirements.
- Maintain and inspect portable machining equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Document machining activiies, including setup procedures, inspection results, and any deviations from specifications.
- Monitor machining processes and inspect workpieces using precision measuring instruments.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a machinist, preferably with experience in onsite machining or field service environments.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, techniques, and tooling selection.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
- This work is likely to start end of August, but recruitment will be over the period of August and September for these roles.
- Jobs can be for emergency repairs, planned shutdowns and new plant construction.
