Job Description:
A Petrophysicist analyzes well log and core data to evaluate the physical and chemical properties of subsurface rock formations. Their primary goal is to determine hydrocarbon saturation, porosity, permeability, and reservoir quality to support exploration, drilling, and reservoir management decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

Interpret well logs, core samples, and other petrophysical data

Evaluate reservoir properties such as porosity, permeability, and fluid saturation

Integrate petrophysical data with geological and geophysical models

Support well planning, completion design, and reservoir simulation

Prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations
- Experience in participating in technical reviews & able to provide technical assurance on technical works /analysis.
- Capable of preparing Standards and Guidelines for the Company
- Experience in provision of Training on subject matters
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in science preferably Petroleum Engineering. A PhD holder would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of working experience as petrophysics in operator or service provider.
- Experience in planning and supervision on data acquisition program, i.e., LWD / MWD, wireline logging, coring, etc.
- Experience in interpreting well data (MWD/LWD,wireline data, core, pressure, etc.) and integrating with geological interpretation.
- Experience in design of rock laboratory analysis. (RCA, SCAL, fluid analysis).
- Proficient in the use and application of industry petrophysical interpretation and analysis software, e.g. Geolog, Techlog, IP etc.
- Experience in delivering FDP, FFR, or RWFM opportunities.
