Our client has a requirement for a Plug and Abandonment / Intervention Engineer to work onshore in the U.K.
Engineer will be in charge of producing well programs and monitoring plug and abandonment operations
4-6 month duration
Education: Degree/HND in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: Relevant experience in well intervention, well integrity, drilling, completion, or P&A operations.
Technical knowledge: Well abandonment barriers, well integrity, cementing, well control, casing/tubing design, and regulatory requirements.
Planning: Ability to develop P&A programmes, barrier schematics, cost estimates, risk assessments, and execution plans.
Standards: Familiarity with NORSOK, ISO, API, and applicable national/regulatory well-abandonment requirements.
Operational skills: Understanding of rig/workover operations, offshore logistics, contractor management, and operational troubleshooting.
Safety: Strong knowledge of HSE, well-control principles, and risk-management processes.
Software: Competence with relevant well-engineering, well-integrity, and planning software.
Professional skills: Good communication, technical reporting, decision-making, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
