QA/QC Engineer / Lead

We are currently seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer / Lead to support a major project. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 7+ years of QA/QC experience, ideally gained within large-scale Oil & Gas, Energy, Industrial or Infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all project activities meet the required quality standards, client specifications and applicable international codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and Method Statements.
  • Ensure compliance with company, client and project QA/QC procedures and specifications.
  • Perform and coordinate quality inspections across civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works, as applicable.
  • Coordinate laboratory and field testing for materials, concrete, welding, coatings and other project activities.
  • Witness inspections and verify works against approved ITPs, drawings, specifications and standards.
  • Raise, manage and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits.
  • Maintain material traceability, inspection records, quality documentation and reporting.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly QA/QC reports and quality dashboards.
  • Coordinate closely with Construction, HSE and Project Management teams.
  • Liaise directly with client QA/QC representatives regarding inspections, documentation and approvals.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience within QA/QC Engineering or Quality Management.
  • Strong experience developing and working with PQP, ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs and quality documentation.
  • Previous experience conducting inspections, audits and quality reporting.
  • Good knowledge of relevant international standards, including:
    • ISO 9001:2015
    • ISO 14001:2015
    • ISO 45001:2018
    • ASTM, ACI, BS, API and ASME, depending on discipline.
  • Experience working to Royal Commission / RCRC standards would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of RCA, CAPA and NCR close-out processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
