Upstream Reservoir Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Reservoir Engineer, with a minimum of 15 years experience, for work in Bahrain.
Responsibilities of the Reservoir Engineer:
- Identify gaps in available data and studies, reservoir development, reservoir management, reservoir surveillance, technology deployment in relation to industry best practices including assessment of knowledge gaps.
- Recommend a suitable data acquisition plan for each of the available assets to increase GIIP accuracy and enhance gas long-term development planning.
- Review current reservoir and development strategy and identify the gap between current development and industry best practices.
- Examine subsurface geology, reservoir and productive history to establish the reservoir production potential against performance to date.
- Evaluate feasibility and assess risks associated with gas exploitation and field development activities.
- Develop conceptual production profiles for each asset including risk assessments and scenarios, and identify required facilities for each scenario.
- Perform feasibility analysis on all developed scenarios to rank projects in terms of their feasibility and economics.
- Define broad strategies for reservoir development, recovery methods, and infrastructure layout and quantify production profiles based on selected projects.
- Identify mitigation actions and cost implications.
- Develop a conceptual timeline outlining major milestones and deliverables.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in reservoir engineering or related roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
