We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Management Engineer with a strong background in subsurface information management and data quality. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industry-standard data management platforms and tools used in the oil and gas sector, particularly within upstream environments.
This role will be instrumental in supporting data governance, implementing quality assurance standards, and maintaining critical E&P data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the implementation of the client’s Data Quality Management (DQM) plan using InnerLogix (ILX)
- Perform installation, configuration, and upgrade of:
– ProSource
– InnerLogix
– Studio for Petrel
– Studio for Techlog
- Ensure data integrity and governance for geoscience and engineering datasets
- Collaborate with geoscientists, petrophysicists, and IT teams to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows
- Support users and provide guidance on data management best practices
- Maintain documentation and support change management processes related to data systems
- 8–10 years of experience in Information/Data Management in the oil and gas industry
- Proficiency in InnerLogix, ProSource, and clients Studio platforms (Petrel & Techlog)
- Demonstrated experience in data quality implementation, system installation and upgrade
- Familiarity with subsurface workflows, E&P data standards, and IM governance
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Willingness to work onsite in Khafji, KSA
