We are seeking an experienced Senior Petrophysicist with a strong background in rock physics, acoustic log processing, and multiwell petrophysical interpretation. The successful candidate will play a leading role in the development of elastic property models, execution of rock physics analyses, and integration of petrophysical and geophysical data to support seismic interpretation, reservoir monitoring, and geomechanical studies. The position requires expertise in log data quality control, normalization, data conditioning, and the application of machine learning techniques to enhance subsurface characterization workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rock physics analysis to support reservoir characterization, seismic integration, and geomechanical studies.
  • Process, analyze, and interpret acoustic and sonic logging data, including monopole and dipole measurements.
  • Execute rigorous log quality control (QC), data validation, editing, and conditioning workflows.
  • Develop and implement log normalization methodologies to ensure data consistency across fields.
  • Apply machine learning and data analytics techniques to improve petrophysical workflows, automate interpretation processes, and identify data-driven insights.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in petrophysics within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong expertise in rock physics and petrophysical interpretation.
  • Demonstrated experience in acoustic/sonic log processing and interpretation.
  • Extensive experience in multiwell petrophysical analysis and field-scale studies.
  • Proven ability in log quality control, data editing, and data conditioning.
  • Experience with log normalization and environmental corrections.
  • Practical knowledge of machine learning applications in subsurface data analysis.
  • Proficiency with Techlog software platform.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in carbonate environments.
  • Familiarity with seismic-petrophysical integration and elastic property modeling.
  • Experience with Python, data science, and machine learning libraries.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
