Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer

Our client is seeking two Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineers for urgent work in Saudi Arabia.
The Senior Reservoir Engineer is a key technical Petro Technical Professional (PTP) with expertise in reservoir simulation, reservoir modeling, history matching and forecasting. They integrates the knowledge from PVT, SCAL, production history with seismic, petrophysical evaluations and engineering analysis to develop a field-scale picture of the reservoir.

Responsibilities of the Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer:

  • Work on reservoir studies for clients with the objective of creating history matching models that are suitable for prospect evaluation.
  • Balance priorities and interface the customers to ensure expectations are met within the confines of policies, technical and professional limits.
  • Make independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusion.
  • Keep others informed of actions and reasons behind them.
  • Fundamental reservoir engineering analysis, including material balance, DCA, and Well forecasting.
  • PVT analysis for both Black oil and composition simulation including EoS matching.
  • History matching using experimental design and AI concept.
  • Capillary pressure modeling including hysteresis.

Requirements:

  • 10 years experience in Reservoir Simulation and modeling.
  • Fully qualified professional Reservoir Engineer, with a minimum of Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering, with preferably Master and above.
  • Demonstrate a variety of technical assignments requiring familiarity with a broad field of reservoir Engineer.
  • A basic to intermediate understanding of Geology, Modeling, Geophysics, Geomechanics or Petrophysics is a strong plus.
  • Basic EOR experience with strong simulation capabilities.

Experience:

  • BS with minimum 10 years of related experience.
  • MS with minimum 7 years of related experience.
  • PhD with minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Software Skills:

  • Has a proven record of working with Petrel, ECLIPSE and INTERSECT. FRONTSIM is a plus.
  • Knows the Petrel Reservoir Engineering software.
  • Uncertainty analysis and Optimisation.
  • History Matching Analysis.
  • Petrel Upscaling.
