Upstream We are seeking an experienced Specialist Groundwater Modeler to support an upcoming project in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, calibrating, and applying numerical groundwater models to support hydrogeological assessments, groundwater resource management, dewatering studies, and project-related water management decisions.
Develop, maintain, calibrate, and apply numerical groundwater flow models for project-specific investigations.
Define conceptual hydrogeological models based on geological, hydrogeological, groundwater-level, pumping-test, recharge, and water-quality data.
Prepare model input datasets, including aquifer geometry, hydraulic properties, recharge, abstraction, boundary conditions, and groundwater stresses.
Undertake steady-state and transient groundwater modelling and sensitivity/uncertainty analyses.
Simulate groundwater abstraction, dewatering, recharge, excavation, infrastructure development, and other project-related scenarios.
Assess potential impacts of proposed developments on groundwater levels, flows, abstraction wells, sensitive receptors, and surrounding infrastructure.
Interpret pumping tests, aquifer tests, groundwater monitoring data, and other field investigations to derive model parameters.
