Upstream The SWT Choke/Tank Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining surface well testing (SWT) choke manifolds and tank systems during offshore deepwater operations. The role ensures safe pressure control, flow regulation, and accurate measurement of produced fluids throughout the testing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate choke manifolds and tank systems during well testing operations
- Monitor and control flow rates, pressures, and fluid handling processes
- Ensure safe operation of high-pressure equipment in accordance with procedures
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of choke and tank systems
- Assist with rig-up, rig-down, and pressure testing of equipment
- Maintain accurate operational records and communicate data to supervisors
- Adhere strictly to HSE standards and participate in safety initiatives
- Support overall well testing operations as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience in surface well testing operations, specifically choke and tank systems
- Offshore deepwater experience preferred
- Strong understanding of pressure control and fluid handling principles
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow operational procedures
Qualifications:
- Relevant technical training or certification in oilfield operations
- Valid offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, medical, survival training)
- Good communication and situational awareness skills
Work Environment:
- Offshore rotational role in deepwater conditions
- Physically demanding with exposure to harsh environmental conditions
