Upstream We are seeking experienced TDA Consultants to join our team supporting oilfield operations in Saudi Arabia.
The TDA Consultant will provide specialist technical support and operational expertise during well testing and associated well services activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the client, wellsite supervisors, engineers and field personnel to ensure operations are performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved programmes, procedures and industry standards.
Previous experience with SLB (Schlumberger) is preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
Day rates will be between $160 – $180 – please do not apply for this position if you would not be willing to accept these rates
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist technical and operational support for TDA (Test & Data Acquisition) activities during well testing and wellsite operations.
- Support the planning, preparation and execution of well testing and data acquisition programmes.
- Review well programmes, test procedures and relevant technical documentation prior to operations.
- Assist with the preparation, installation, function testing and operation of TDA and associated well testing equipment.
- Monitor and acquire accurate real-time well data throughout testing operations.
- Monitor and record pressure, temperature, flow rate and other relevant well parameters.
- Ensure data acquisition systems and associated instrumentation are correctly configured and functioning.
- Perform quality checks on acquired data and identify any anomalies or inconsistencies.
- Troubleshoot data acquisition, instrumentation and equipment issues during operations.
- Work closely with the Well Testing Supervisor and other wellsite personnel to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
- Provide technical input during pre-job planning and operational meetings.
- Ensure all data is recorded, stored and reported in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Prepare operational reports and assist with the compilation of final well test data and documentation.
- Maintain accurate equipment and calibration records.
- Assist with equipment rig-up, testing, troubleshooting and rig-down activities.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved procedures, risk assessments and HSE requirements.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment defects and operational concerns.
- Support incident investigations and technical troubleshooting where required.
- Liaise professionally with client representatives and other service companies at the wellsite.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a TDA / Test & Data Acquisition role within the Oil & Gas or Well Services industry.
- Previous experience supporting well testing operations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of well test data acquisition and associated instrumentation.
- Experience monitoring and recording well pressure, temperature, flow and other operational parameters.
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems, sensors, gauges and associated equipment.
- Ability to interpret well test data and identify potential anomalies.
- Good understanding of wellsite operations and pressure control equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary wellsite team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to HSE and safe working practices.
- Willingness to work rotational schedules in Saudi Arabia.
- Valid passport and ability to obtain the required Saudi Arabian work visa and medical clearance.
