Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Well Intervention Engineers and Senior Well Engineers to support completion and well intervention activities in Nigeria.
The successful candidates will be responsible for developing and coordinating completion and intervention programmes with the client and relevant service providers. They will also provide operational support, monitor daily activities and contribute to the safe and efficient execution of well operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate completion and well intervention programmes.
- Coordinate with the client and relevant service providers to ensure programmes are properly planned and executed.
- Follow up daily wellsite and operational activities.
- Monitor operational progress and identify potential issues or delays.
- Provide engineering support and recommendations throughout completion and intervention operations.
- Participate in operational planning and technical meetings.
- Carry out and contribute to risk assessments and risk analysis.
- Identify operational risks and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
- Review operational data and provide recommendations where required.
- Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with approved programmes, procedures and HSE requirements.
- Support the investigation and resolution of operational and technical issues.
- Maintain accurate operational and engineering documentation and reports.
Experience Required
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in well engineering, completion and/or well intervention operations.
- Strong experience in completion and well intervention programme preparation and execution.
- Previous experience supporting offshore and/or onshore well operations.
- Experience in operational follow-up and coordination.
- Strong understanding of well intervention processes, equipment and associated service activities.
- Demonstrable experience in risk assessment and risk analysis.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Required Certification / Training
- Current Well Control certification.
- Any additional client-required technical or HSE training relevant to the assignment.
- Candidate must have Health Insurance
Working Location
One position will support offshore operations and one position will support onshore operations. Both positions will be based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, when not required at the operational site.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidates will have a strong technical background in well engineering, completions and interventions, together with practical experience supporting live well operations. They should be comfortable working with clients and multiple service providers and be capable of identifying and managing operational risks.
