Job Title: Wellsite Coordinator – Workover & Intervention
Location: Nigeria
Contract Duration: Initial 3 months (extendable)
Rotation: 21×21 or 28×28
We are seeking an experienced Wellsite Coordinator to support workover and well intervention operations on an oil & gas project in Nigeria. The role requires strong on-site leadership, coordination of multiple service providers, and strict adherence to HSE and operational standards.
Key
Responsibilities
- Coordinate
and supervise daily wellsite activities for workover and well intervention
operations - Act
as the primary on-site liaison between the operator, rig crew, and third-party
service providers - Coordinate
the delivery of third-party equipment to the wellsite and ensure compliance
with approved procedures - Conduct
inspections of equipment during transportation and upon arrival to verify
condition and readiness for use - Assist
in the planning and execution of well intervention activities, including
workovers, completions, and stimulation treatments - Collaborate
with project managers, reservoir engineers, and technical specialists to
optimize operational efficiency and well performance - Monitor
key operational parameters, including mud weight and wellbore stability, to
support safe and efficient operations - Ensure
all activities are executed in accordance with approved programmes, company
policies, and HSE standards - Monitor
performance, address operational issues, and support real-time decision-making
on site - Verify
personnel competency, equipment readiness, and compliance with local regulatory
requirements - Promote
a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, risk assessments, and continuous
HSE oversightPrepare
daily reports, operational summaries, and end-of-well documentation
Required
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 10+
years’ experience in oil & gas operations - Strong
background in workover and well intervention activities - Proven
experience as a Well Site Coordinator, Well Site Supervisor, or similar role - Solid
understanding of well control, operational risk, and HSE requirements - Excellent
communication and coordination skills - IWCF/IADC Well
Control certification (preferred)
