Wind Wind Turbine Technician
As a Wind Turbine Technician, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines. Your expertise in troubleshooting and technical proficiency will contribute to the efficient and reliable operations of wind energy projects.
Responsibilities of the Wind Turbine Technician:
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repair on wind turbine components to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Performan preventive maintenance tasks and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime and maximise turbine availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and support project timelines.
- Utilise advanced diagnostic tools and technologies to analyse turbine performance data and identify areas for improvement.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Wind Turbine Technician.
- Full driving license.
- GWO Training.
- Technical diploma, or relevant certification, in wind energy, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
- Proficient in reading and interpretating technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems associated with wind turbines.
- Proven experience working at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
- Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
