A major North Sea Operator awarded our client the contracts to provide cementing equipment and services on three rigs. The oil rigs were to be berthed in Dundee, Invergordon and Gdansk for hull repairs and modifications. Visuna were tasked with recruitment for cementing roles and full project teams.
The Solution
The service company had a 45 day window for each oil rig in which to remove the old units and replace them with state of the art, electronic controlled, cementing units and remote control rooms. This involved cutting out the main deck of all three rigs and removing approximately 80 tons of piping, cabling, high pressure pumps, tanks and ancillary equipment before replacing this with the new cementing and pressure testing system.
Working to a tight deadline where overruns would cost the operator up to $500,000 a day, we provided on-site project supervision and sourced full teams of personnel for the project.
The resource was acquired from our international pool of specialist talent in addition to our professional search service. All candidates went through our quality assurance checks before final submission to the client for selection.
As well as the identification of consultants and formation of the teams, we also organised and implemented pay scales for the various disciplines. Additionally, we provided a full mobilisation service to transport the consultants to the various project sites and arranged for accommodation during the project.
