Our United States recruitment team were approached by a previous candidate we’d placed successfully in a wind energy business, to support with offshore renewables recruitment.

This Houston based organisation required a Field Sales Engineer, with between three to five years industry experience. As this role was to be the link between the engineers and sales team, the ideal candidate would need to have technical expertise but also a good sales focus.

Our client was unhappy with the approach of other agencies they had used for recruitment previously. They felt their requirements were not listened to and they were bombarded with too many irrelevant CV’s.

The Solution

We held a comprehensive discovery session with the client. We wanted to demonstrate the targeted approach that would be taken to ensure we found the candidate with the optimal level of experience and that would also be the right culture fit for the organisation. Then, we committed to working with the client until we reached a result.

By shortlisting to the brief provided for this offshore renewables recruitment project, and managing the interview and offer stages, we were able to fill the position with the perfect candidate.

Additionally, we used market insight to identify a shortage of skilled engineers in the industry. As our client regularly requires new experienced talent to fulfil the contracts they’re winning for business growth, we have provided talent mapping recommendations for future wind energy projects.
